Only by accident did I realize that I was a writer, that I had stories jumping up and down my veins. Stories that needed to be released so they could start a life of their own.
The first half of my adult life I was a typical product of my upbringing and education. For twenty-five years I worked at a global IT-service provider. There I continually convinced myself that I was a practical and analytical member of society. Until I felt the need to show my wife, who at the time dreamt of writing poetry, as well as my two children, that taking action is the only way to get your dreams to come true.
All these years, I had kept my personal view on life hidden in the back of my mind disguised as a story. So to make a point to my family, I wrote in only three months time, my debut novel "The Balance Principle". Then it took me no less than nine years to find the courage to have it published. Nine years to demonstrate to myself, my wife and my children, that it is easy to have dreams but it is somehow very difficult to gather enough self-belief to make them materialize. Some would call these nine years wasted time, I call them personal growth.
Trying to be the best possible husband, father, and employee leaves not a lot of time to also write these stories. But now I understand that when you have discovered your true passion, you do become unstoppable!
The ultimate dream is to have my books turned into motion pictures. I, therefore, imagine the stories in my mind as moving images which I then translate into words.
Imagination is everything. It is the preview of your life’s coming attractions. - Albert Einstein
